I'm so glad you played downtown Baton Rouge on May 3rd at "Fest for All". If no one has said, let me say, What a GREAT PERFORMANCE! God loves you and the guys in the band for giving us the music to dance to. We enjoyed it so much.

ps. Thank you for letting me take my picture with you also. That made my husband day. He will cherish it forever. God bless you.

Stagecoach Event evaluation of the Billy Joe Shaver set.

I saw the Eagles (in the Gold Circle seats) on Friday night.
I saw most of the big acts. Ya know, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Rascall Flatts....

In my opinion, the best acts were:
the Eagles,
Shaver
the Greencards.

Eagles because they were so tight. Greencards because they were so tight. Shaver because I got really emotionally moved and I did not expect that.
Kudo to Shaver for using just a bass player and one guitar player...and that is all. Did not think that could be done and still have a full musical sound. But it happened.
I believe I saw most of the 20 acts, and the above were the best.
I saw George Jones on the final night, and it was great and I got a tear in my eye....but Shaver is so much more in touch and punchy.

Went to the Maidstone gig at the Zebra bar - never knew of Billy Joe before as I was going to see the support act. I was so blown away by the music that I went again to the Brigthon gig later in the week! Greatsongs, great atmosphere and wonderful backing. Will be looking out for future dates...
